Business Plan

The Freshwater Bay Primary School Business Plan was informed by feedback from our whole school surveys, student performance data, and research into current best practice in education. The School Board, Principal, Leadership Team and Staff collaborated to develop the 2024-2026 School Business Plan which defines our targets to achieve improvement in student outcomes and guides all school operations. Key focus areas are described for:

Student Achievement and Progress We are committed to ensuring all students achieve their potential through excellence in teaching and learning, focusing on progress and growth. We create a culture of high expectations and standards to enrich all learning experiences provided at the school.

Teaching for Impact We provide opportunities for staff to build their knowledge, skills and understandings to support the strategic direction of the school in line with evidence-based practices. We have a team of dedicated and committed educators, with strong procedures in place to encourage a culture of continuous professional improvement.

Learning Environment We promote well-being across the school, so all learners feel connected, included, safe, cared for and resilient in a nurturing environment. We promote positive relationships so that all students feel supported socially and emotionally and can achieve their best.

Relationships and Partnerships We recognise the importance of working in partnership with students, staff and our local community to create a welcoming school culture. We strive to build positive and harmonious relationships through collaborative, supportive and transparent communication.

Annual Report

The Freshwater Bay Primary School’s Annual Report is intended to give parents and other members of our community a clear sense of how students in the school are progressing and what is being done to maximise student achievement.

Public School Review

All Western Australian public schools are reviewed by the Department of Education’s Public School Accountability directorate. A review gives assurance to the local community, the Minister for Education and Training and the Director General that a school is operating effectively and delivering high-quality education to its students. The review acknowledges the achievements of the school and gives feedback to support the principal and staff with their improvement planning.
